Kim

Rural Studio is led by Kim Grant – a Scottish creative director with a deep love for storytelling, nature, and creative culture. With over a decade of experience working with travel and lifestyle brands, Kim’s work is rooted in a passion for Scotland’s landscapes, its hospitality, rich heritage, craft and design.

Before founding Rural Studio, Kim co-authored the bestselling guidebook Wild Guide Scotland, a celebration of the country's wild beauty. She then spent five years as Editorial Creative Director at Culture Trip, a global travel media company, where she led editorial campaigns, shaped merchandising strategies, and art-directed a wide range of content, from photography and film to illustration.

Today, alongside her work at Rural Studio, Kim continues to lend her creative hand to her partner Fraser Potter’s hotel, The Taybank, as well as to conservation organisation WildLand. Alongside Eric Bremner, she is currently leading the creative team at Fraser’s new venture, The Birnam Hotel, working across creative direction, concept development, and design — a project that brings together her passion for Scottish hospitality, nature, craft and design.
